July 2026 was marked by the arrival of new regional products on the shelves of Quebec's cannabis stores, a police operation against smuggling in Lanaudière, and several regulatory adjustments on the part of Health Canada, a context that sheds light on the movements observed in our monthly store sales tracking.
What's being talked about: on forums and subreddits such as r/Quebec, r/TheOCS and r/canadients, discussions this month mainly focused on the arrival of new regional products in stores, on the uneven availability of certain formats from one store to another, and on the coverage given to the police operation in Lanaudière, often drawn in parallel with the legal market's efforts to distinguish itself from the illicit market.
The figures come from inventory checks carried out several times a day in 114 Quebec cannabis stores and on the provincial retailer's website; a sale is inferred from a decrease in inventory, with restocking and anomalies filtered out.
